Bodywork add-on parts such as doors, flaps or roof modules are often extremely complex integrated systems these days. Some are electrically driven and integrated in the various electrical and electronic components and systems and thus make increased rigidity and crash behaviour demands. Many materials are used including steel, aluminium, magnesium and compounds.
